23 September 2024Trieste, the city of coffee
24 October 2024Not just literature and the sea: Trieste is a city with a strong scientific vocation and an attractive hub for anyone studying or working in the field of innovation. Approximately 10,400 researchers reside here, which is about 35 per 1,000 employed, representing the highest density of researchers relative to the total population among all Italian cities and one of the highest in Europe.
These researchers are drawn to the capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia by the presence of renowned institutions recognized internationally, such as the 30 research centers located in the area, the two universities, and the national scientific and technological park.
When you add to this a strategic border location and a globally significant port, you have the ideal context for making Trieste a center of excellence for scientific and technological research and innovation, and thus of great interest for the economy.
It is no coincidence that the city has been chosen to host the Big Science Business Forum 2024, the biennial event taking place from October 1 to 4 at the Generali Convention Center Trieste, which will bring together over 1,000 participants from around the world to discuss key issues for today’s and tomorrow’s Big Science market.
