2 December 2024With the new year beginning, after the assessments of what happened in 2024, it is time to take a look at what will happen in the next months in the conference and event organization sector.
Among the trends there are undoubtedly sustainability and social responsibility, two factors now in the foreground; participants and sponsors must adapt to the requests of customers and the public, paying greater attention to reducing the environmental impact of events and the carbon footprint of the venues themselves, as well as inclusion and ethical practices.
Another fundamental aspect is the involvement of participants, accustomed to multiple stimulations: interactive exhibitions and workshops will be increasingly frequent, with artistic and light installations that react to motion sensors to physically involve participants, video mapping and sound effects. Augmented reality and virtual reality, therefore, become increasingly sought-after ingredients. For these reasons, during 2025, and, in perspective, increasingly, the demand for flexible and modular spaces, easily adaptable to event formats of different types and sizes, will grow.
But the technological aspects do not overshadow the importance of the human relationship: for the organizers, interfacing with professionals with whom to build or consolidate a relationship, able to listen to them and accommodate their needs, is essential. So much so that, over 90% of the organizers are willing to pay more for locations with which they have consolidated relationships, according to the analyses.
The Generali Convention Center Trieste responds to the requests from the public, having modular spaces of different sizes, in the two pavilions, Warehouses 27 and 28, located in the Old Port of Trieste; this area is currently undergoing redevelopment and it’s conveniently located near both the train station and the city center. The Congress Center’s equipment is highly technological, starting with the GARR network, the ultra fiber that connects the centers of knowledge throughout Italy and Europe; the professionals who are part of the GCC staff listen to every request from customers to reach together the solution best suited to the needs of each event.
