Barcolana Sea Summit 2023 at the Trieste Convention Center
4 October 2023The first Caregiver Day in Trieste
6 October 2023An exciting competition celebrating the beauty of Italy involves all 20 Italian regions, each represented by a village. Starting from Sunday, October 22nd, the Rai 3 program ‘Kilimangiaro’ will take viewers on a journey to discover these often lesser-known but picturesque and fascinating villages competing for the title of ‘Borgo dei Borghi’ (Village of Villages).
To find out which village will be crowned the winner for the year 2024, we will have to wait until the end of the broadcasts, which will be in the coming spring. The winner will be determined by the votes of experts and viewers. To express your preference, at the end of the 20-week journey, you can register for free on the RaiPlay platform.
After the 2023 edition, won by the municipality of Ronciglione in Lazio, where Friuli Venezia Giulia presented the Udinese village of Marano Lagunare, our region is now trying again this time with Muggia. The small Istrian town in the province of Trieste, with its beautiful colorful alleyways, archaeological site, castle, and cathedral with a Venetian Gothic façade, as well as its unique local traditions such as the Carnival, has all the qualities to claim the title of Italy’s most beautiful village.
The result of this friendly competition will also provide an important contribution in terms of cultural enrichment and tourism visibility for the participating villages.
