Easter traditions and curiosities in Friuli Venezia Giulia
15 April 2025All the staff of the Generali Convention Center Trieste joins the world in commemorating a beacon of humanity and faith, who made the words “solidarity” and “fraternity” tangible realities.
July 7, 2024, the day we had the honor of welcoming Pope Francis—32 years after the last visit of a Pontiff to Trieste—will forever remain an indelible date for us. His visit, on the occasion of the 50th Social Week of Italian Catholics, dedicated to “At the Heart of Democracy: Participation Between History and Future,” gave us the opportunity to hear his voice—a voice whose call still echoes through our halls.
“Democracy is not an empty shell, but is rooted in the values of the person, fraternity, and integral ecology”: this was an invitation to foster genuine participation, far from individualism and polarization—an invitation that inspired the 1,200 delegates gathered and left a lasting mark on both them and us. In his speech, the Holy Father compared the social crisis to a “wounded heart,” urging us to fight indifference, value every person, and dream together.
Those noble words resonate with our way of managing the Center, which we strive to maintain as a space for open exchange and meaningful dialogue—a place where ideas can find their voice and become projects, contributing to the growth of our region.
