The SEPSIS congress – now at its second edition – came back to the Generali Convention Center Trieste from the 20th to the 21st September 2024. The event has focused on the sepsis, a life-threatening clinical syndrome caused by a dysregulated response to the infection: a serious health problem that every year affects millions of people all over the world. The topics of the event were: the early microbiological diagnosis, the bacterial resistance, the empirical anti-biotic therapy, the early diagnosis, treatment and complications. And also: the monitoring and the recovery, as well as the research, the surgical and non-surgical control and the future perspectives for the diagnosis and therapy. Taking part into the congress was valid for ECM credits for the following professions: Medical Doctor, Biologist, Pharmacist, Nurse and Biomedical Lab Technician.
