Selecting Italy 2024

On April 8th and 9th, 2024, the Generali Convention Center in Trieste will host SELECTING ITALY 2024, an event organized by the Conference of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces on the theme of attracting foreign investments and regional value chains. During the annual event – the second edition taking place in Trieste, in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region – an assessment will be made on attracting foreign investments in Italy, working on the best strategies to adopt, taking into account the results achieved at the regional level.

The event aims at offering a platform for discussions between the governments, local authorities and entrepreneurs. On Monday, April the 8th, there will be two round tables during the plenary sessions and four workshops. The topics range from super computing, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, aerospace and sustainability.

On Tuesday, April 9th, instead, there will be two thematic focuses of USA and Japan; the programme will also includes the memorandum of understanding between the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and the National Italian American Foundation. The 2024 edition of Big Science Business Forum will also be presented officially and the day will end with a Ministerial meeting chaired by the Minister of Manufacturing and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso, focusing on the new opportunities for logistics in the eastern quadrant.
